Welcome to the World of Podcasting!

You'll hear it said again and again - podcasting is the new broadcasting - it's the new Golden Age of Radio. And that appears to be right. 

The Golden Age of Radio referrs to the 1920s through the late 1940s and the advent of television. People loved their radios! Radios brought the world into their living rooms like no one had ever imagined anything could. In fact, when television was trying to catch on - and this didn't happen right away - stations started recreating the most popular radio dramas as TV shows to convince people to spend the money to buy this new fangled thing called a television. 

We all know the sitcom I Love Lucy, right? Well, it started out as a radio drama called My Perfect Husband!

Podcasts are really an updated version of those radio dramas, news shows, sports shows - pretty much what people nearly 100 years ago were listening to on those huge, ornate radio sets in their living rooms. The one big difference is that ANYONE can create a podcast. But not everyone can create a GOOD one and that's why you are here! To learn how to do just that!

My first podcast debuted in May of 2019 and although I have been a professional broadcaster for many years and my partner is an internationally recognized entertainer, we've went through some early trials and errors. But we worked through them and now that podcast has just crossed the 100 episode mark and along the way has been honored with eight international awards!

Podcasting is developing and changing as it grows. It's become more sleek and savvy than it was ten years ago and has become a mainstay of communication.

There are literally over a million podcasts out there. In April of 2021, there were approximately 30-million episodes. And it's estimated that at least 3,000 new podcasts are created each month.  

Yikes! So how do you get noticed? It all starts with a well thought out idea, a well crafted podcast and a solid launch plan! And that is exactly what we are going to be creating, so get ready!
